find the right auto insurance seller

What happens if some else has an accident while driving my car?

If you loan your car to someone who is not a driver listed on your policy and that person has an accident, your insurer will repair your car according to the coverages you have arranged for your car. You, as the car owner, and the driver are protected for third party liability by your insurer up to your policy limits.

When your policy renews, you will be charged with that claim if the driver of your car is deemed to be wholly or partially at fault even though you were not driving the car. The only way to avoid this is to prove to your insurer's satisfaction that the at fault driver has been charged with the accident on his or her own policy.
