Who is covered by auto insurance?

The person or organization to whom the Certificate of Automobile Insurance ("the policy") has been issued and anyone else who has permission to use the auto. All coverage is restricted to incidents occurring only in Canada or the United States of America.

However, there is no coverage if you drive or allow anyone else to drive the auto when that person is not authorized by law to drive - i.e. if your licence is under suspension then you are not authorized by law to drive!
